The menu command "do it" (a.k.a. DoIt) is used to execute a snippet of Smalltalk code in a Workspace or other text editing window within Squeak.
For example, type in the following text in a Workspace window:
EllipseMorph new openInWorld
Then highlight this text with the mouse, and select "do it" from the Yellow button pop-up menu, or type alt-d. This executes the code, and a new ellipse morph will pop up on the screen.
Note that, as a shortcut to execute just one line of code, you can type alt-d at the end of a line of code without having to highlight it.
See Workspace for more examples.
