I discovered Squeak on 5 April 03. I was looking for a good development environment for my Playstation 2. I'd tried C++/Lua, but was just getting annoyed at how low-level the whole thing was.
Squeak ported easily, but was too heavyweight (both memory and CPU) for the little system. However, Squeak was sufficiently cool that I had to install it on my main home Linux box.
My interests (i.e. long term, never to be completed projects)...
Image Recognition - is that a hat or a tree? is there a tank in this picture?
Computer Go - the black and white stones game.
Collaborative Programming - as in big systems with hundreds of programmers
Computer Games - programs so fun to use that people will use them for the sake of using them!
