KernelImage is a project described at: http://www.comtalk.eu/Squeak/98 by Pavel Krivanek which contains a tiny core Squeak system which can be built up using Installer scripts to contain whatever functionality is desired. More importantly, it represents an automatically-bootstrapped system whose automation is being gradually improved and maintained, so it is not a one-shot effort without a maintenance facility (as previous tiny-image efforts have been).
Images have been regularly provided which contain commonly desired components: Morphic (somewhat trimmed to be modular and minimal), Monticello, Seaside, Magma, and Pier. Headless images are the default.
