set the environment variable as follow.

JAVA_HOME   =  C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.4
Jboss_dist  =  D:\JBoss-2.4.3

The D:\Jboss-2.4.3\tmp is the deploying directoy for JBOSS when start the run.bat command.  Put your apps in this directory (including the jar file)
