Starting QTS 3.0 and Logging In:

I can't log in: I get the error, "Could not connect to application server. Check your password."

What are the minimum system requirements?:

Unix: Netscape 4.6 or later
PC: Netscape 4.76 or later
IE 5.0 or later

 

 

Does cookies need to be enabled in my browser?

No

 

 

I can't log in: I get the error, "Could not connect to application server. Check your password."

If you have been able use QTS 3.0 before and now get the above error, do the following:
        1. Make sure your password is correct (UNIX password, case-sensitive). If you have recently changed your UNIX password, the change may not yet have pushed out to all servers, so try your old password also.
        2. If your password is correct and QTS is not scheduled to be offline, contact the IT Helpdesk (audix 219-8888, email sos@sybase.com).

 

 

How can I run QTS 3.0 over VPN?

Please make sure that you enter the next address in your browser: http://qts.sybase.com

After login I see html source code.

Enable Java script.
- If you are using IE please select tools, internet options, security, custom level and enable active scripting
- If you are using Netscape select edit, preferences, advanced and enable Java Script for navigator.

 


 

What do I do if I have a question or find a problem?

If you have trouble with starting QTS, contact the IT Response Center at 219-8888 (email sos@sybase.com) or log a call ticket in Service Center
If you think a QTS data server, web server, or application server may be down, or you suspect network problems, also contact the IT Response Center at 219-8888.
If you have found a bug or have a new feature request for QTS, use the following product information:

 I can not find my requested reference data in the select boxes.

Reference data is generated twice per day. (12 PM PST and 6 PM PST). Please make sure that you close and reopen your browser to see the new reference data. A fix to avoid closing and reopening the browser will be implemented soon.

 

 

Why is my page reloading when I change component and/or hardware select boxes?

This is by design. This to reduce the size of the html page so that the load time of the page is faster. This is to make QTS also workable for remote users.
