Because programming languages are cognitive tools designed to project our mental processes into aetheral computer worlds, their value is proportionnal to their impact on your view about programming.
All that I can say is that Smalltalk / Squeak triggered an earthquake into mine. This language just rocks! The conjugated efficiency and elegance of object-oriented programming with kind of LISP symbolic and functional processing, and a programming environment which is more a living place than an IDE ... Looks like Symbolics Genera ... Well, can I expect more?
