These are patches to speed up Morphic. Since it can take a while to work these into the image, they are gathered here. -Eddie Cottongim

I recommend the following three patches:

Menus: betterPopUp-sw.cs
Author: Scott Wallace. Makes pop up menus faster by fixing a problem where an area of the screen the size of the menu was needlessly invalidated.
Mouse events: HandMorphTweaks-efc.cs.gz
Author: Eddie Cottongim. Lowers cpu use during mouse moves. On a ~133mhz system, it can use about 50% less CPU while the mouse is moving. The slower system, the more the benefit.
ChangeBrowser/PluggableMorphOfMany: ChangeBrowserSpeedup-efc.cs.gz
Author: Eddie Cottongim. Big speedup for change browsers when many items are selected.

If you want faster lists, try this. It could use a few tweaks to be perfect in Squeak 3.2.

PluggableLists: LargeLists.cs.gz
Author: Lex Spoon. Lazy variant of PluggableList for huge lists.

Tools/utilities:

Overdraw Preference: OverdrawPreference-efc.cs.gz
Author: Eddie Cottongim. This adds a Preference that lets you turn off TransformMorph clipping. You'll see all the stuff that is normally drawn, but clipped. This can help you find good things to optimize by reducing the amount of unnecessary drawing.
