I just discovered Squeak a week ago, February 2, 2003. I knew of Smalltalk from the early 80s when I first studied it, but had never programmed in it. I have been a software consultant and coder for over 20 years.
For most of that time I have dreamed of a "better" way. After reviewing many different systems for developing "the next new best thing" ( Unix, Java, Inferno, BEOS, Python, C++, Perl, Windows Components, CORBA, distributed objects, capabilities, virtual machines, RPC, client/server, UML, Plan9, Micro-Kernel Architectures, Open Source Projects, Lisp, RDBs, and etc.) I have settled on Squeak as my platform of choice to move forward in my quest.
