How to filter the BFAV2 list

There are two kinds of filtering settings in BFAV 2. The first are available via the text boxes visible in the top pane inside the BFAV window. Changes to these filtering settings are applied immediately. To change these filtering settings, you change the text in one of the text boxes, and then either press enter or do Cmd-s to accept the change. The text-box filters are ORed together, so if you enter:
- "Ned" for the author text-box
- "@bluefish" for the email text-box
- "Squeak" for the title text-box
then, the list should be filtered to show only groups of posts that contain either posts by someone named Ned OR posts from someone with "bluefish" in their email address OR posts that contain "Squeak" in their title.
The second kind of filtering settings are filtering preferences. These are accessed via the list-pane's context menu's "edit filtering preferences" option. To re-filter the list after making changes to these preferences, you'll need to select the list-pane's context menu's "apply filtering preferences".
