I'm a hobbyist programmer dabbling in Java whose real heart is still with Smalltalk, a subject about which I wrote a couple of books a few years back.
Fascinated by Squeak both as a language and as a concept, I'm deeply interested in two specific ideas:
- Squeak's role in the Web, linguistically and architecturally.
- The possibility of creating an all-Squeak/Morphic desktop world in which I could live and work.
I don't get as much time to work with Squeak as I'd like but who does? I run it primarily on an older PowerPC 8100 which doubles as my personal Web server (where I'll be adding a Squeak area and links soon).
By day, I'm the Editorial Director of CNET Builder.com, the leading site for people who build Web sites.
