Based on my understanding, there seem to be at least 3 rising frameworks that attempt to answer the question:

How can I find a set of related objects and put them into a model that easy to navigate and edit?

Thise frameworks are (in chronological order, and rough order of completeness):
  1. Star Browser's Lightweight Classification Model
