The menu command "do it" (a.k.a. DoIt) is used to execute a snippet of Smalltalk code in a Workspace or other text editing window within Squeak.
For example, type in the following text in a Workspace window:
EllipseMorph new openInWorld
Then highlight this text with the mouse, or just keep the cursor in the line if it is only one line and
select "do it" from the Yellow button pop-up menu,
or type alt-d.
This executes the code, and a new ellipse morph will pop up on the screen.
See Workspace for more examples.
